The American people love crime. Whether it be murderers, mobsters, or simple societal malcontents the American public seemingly can't get enough. Now this assertion leads to another question on why the American pubic seems to posses such an affinity for the dispossessed. Perhaps it comes from a general lack of faith in the supposed heroes of our time. When one looks at the many heroes on television or even reads about our the politicians and authority figures in print it is easy to see that they fail to live up to the white knight standard of the olden days.
The bright light shining through the window of my cheap apartment was as unpleasant as a punch in the balls. Last night had been a rough night on all fronts....
